It’s hard to escape the fact that Samsung’s Galaxy S23 phones are collectively an iterative update over its 2022 flagships. The upgrades are minor: slightly faster performance, longer battery life, and refined look. While that might be a little disappointing for us phone nerds who treat new releases as entertainment and are used to trading up every year or so, the S23+ is still a fantastic flagship — even if it’s not a sensible upgrade for S22 owners. In fact, it’s probably a better buy than the S23 Ultra for most people.
