Google launched Android 13 in August 2022, but it isn’t the only big mobile OS update in the year. Apple’s iOS 16 made its debut in early September. Google packed the biggest changes in years into Android 12 and has thus only smaller refinements left for Android 13 like per-app languages, Material You updates, and better privacy protections.
