Using a combination of computer vision technology and artificial intelligence, the OVIS Suitcase can accompany users throughout their journey – from airports, to city streets, and right into their hotel room. Despite all the advanced technology embedded in the OVIS suitcase, it weighs just under 10 lbs.

How the OVIS Suitcase Works The auto-follow suitcase deploys deep learning-based computer vision for high level understanding, Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (VSLAM), reinforcement learning-based navigation and avoidance, and automatic control technology, allowing OVIS to have an “AI brain” with perception, cognition, judgment and decision-making capabilities.

A complementary app, available for Apple iOS and Android, allows users to track their suitcase’s location, remotely operate the suitcase, and even take photos and video from one its on-board cameras. Additional features include: • A smartband that notifies them if their suitcase is more than 6 feet away, ensuring that their belongings are always close by and in sight. • Quick touch manual mode for use on stairs or escalators. • Two USB ports for charging digital devices.
