EZVIZ, a global-leading smart home security brand, today announces the U.S. availability of the DB1C Wi-Fi Video Doorbell, offering consumers an incredibly affordable and straight-forward route to improved smart home security and personal safety. The DB1C is available from Walmart on a discounted price of just $69.99 until the New Year. The RRP is $99.99.

The DB1C is a Wi-Fi video doorbell with night vision and the ability to deliver video in 1080p HD quality, with a 170-degree vertical field of view. This enables users to capture every detail, including a head-to-toe view of visitors and clear, reliable recordings of any deliveries left on the doorstep.

If a visitor rings the bell, the DB1C doorbell initiates a video call with two-way talk via the EZVIZ App on the user’s smartphone, meaning the door can be answered anywhere, any time. The device is also equipped with an AI algorithm which allows the device to intelligently detect a person’s movement, ensuring that users will only receive notifications when people move past. This function can be turned off if other motion alerts, such as those triggered by animals or cars, are required. The new AI provides the user with instant alerts through the app improving user safety and reducing the chance of any false alarms.

All EZVIZ products can be managed with the all-in-one EZVIZ App, enabling an enhanced and seamless smart home experience. The newest addition, as well as some of EZVIZ’s current products, is also compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Users can operate EZVIZ cameras by simply speaking to the third-party voice assistants, which could include turning off motion detection when they arrive home or displaying the front door video feed whilst in another part of the house.

The doorbell is also rated with IP65 dust and water protection and works fearlessly and reliably in rain, sleet or snow, bringing you peace of mind throughout the year, whatever the weather. Darker evenings during the winter months can also be made safer with the DB1C doorbell’s night vision, providing rich precision and clear shots of up to 5 meters away.

Unlike many of the video doorbells on the market, the EZVIZ DB1C supports dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity, providing users with the option of 2.4 or 5 GHz connections, for optimal network performance. The DB1C also features upgraded storage solutions, with advanced H.265 video compression technology to achieve better video quality, using only half the bandwidth and half of the storage space of the previous H.264 compression standard.

User-friendly, easy installation means that an existing doorbell and chime can simply be replaced. Brackets are enclosed with the product, in case the existing fixtures outside the property are placed at different angles.

Storage options include a built-in MicroSD card slot that can store up to Industry leading 256 GB of recorded footage and images or the EZVIZ Encrypted Cloud* for additional back-up which now includes Home and Standard plans which can store up to 30 days of video history. With the EZVIZ App and EZVIZ Studio Software, users can also capture, save, protect, and share what’s valuable to them. More information on the Cloud options is available here.

Protecting users’ data and privacy is the highest priority to EZVIZ. The data transmission between the camera and the EZVIZ Cloud is encrypted from end to end using AES 128 bit encryption, TLS encryption protocol and multiple authentication steps. EZVIZ also received the ISO/IEC 29151:2017 certification for its personally identifiable information (PII) protection on Feb 2020, by DNV GL, an international certification authority.
